Crystal Polystyrene

Crystal polystyrene or rigid polystyrene is a transparent and colourless polymer which is good for general purpose applications requiring low cost, high tensile strength. Disposable plastic glasses are quite rigid but are made from thin walled Crystal Polystyrene and will break if dropped onto a hard surface or stood on.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

A clear reasonable durable plastic PET or Polyethylene terephthalate commonly abbreviated PET, PETE is used in beverage, food and other liquid containers. PET is a strong, thermo-stable material with good transparency. It is also lightweight, resalable, shatter-resistant and recyclable.

PET recycling is more practical than many other plastic polymers.

Polypropylene (PP)

Plastic glasses made from polypropylene are disposable, flexible and slightly opaque. Manufactured and packed for maximum hygiene these glasses are a popular choice for large events and festivals. They are cheap and are designed to be used once and then discarded.
